About the Chef

Our Executive Chef Ben Deinken was raised in Fort Polk, Louisiana, and spent most of his life in Europe. He returned to the US to attend The Art Institute of Colorado and pursue a culinary arts degree, where he studied Middle Eastern, contemporary American, and traditional French cuisines.

Ben Deinken has nearly 25 years of restaurant experience, working in kitchens at renowned resorts and independent restaurants before starting his own private event company. Deinken received recognition from Where Traveler in 2017 for his achievements and excellence at Tournant, a pop-up restaurant concept best known for staging inventive-themed events.

Deinken most recently served as executive chef at Poco Diablo Resort and L'Auberge de Sedona in Sedona, Arizona.

At Lakeway Resort & Spa, Deinken serves as executive chef at TR Restaurant Bar + Lounge. Deinken oversees the culinary program, adding his personal touches to the restaurant's seasonal menus of locally inspired dishes.
